Toolwiz Video Player and Converter

It can be frustrating if you receive a video you have been waiting for, but you do not have the software to play it with. If the file is in a format you have never heard of, it can be quite difficult to identify a player which can support it. A simpler solution is to use a converter. Like other software, developed by Toolwiz, Video Player and Converter is free and it can be downloaded and installed in less than a minute. The size of the setup file is a little over 5 and a half Mb and it launches a standard installation wizard. There is no need to install additional codecs or plugins before using this program.

The main area of the interface is covered by a files list. Video or audio files can be imported by clicking the Add button in the upper left corner of the window and browsing for them. After loading a file, a large window will appear, where you can make a series of output adjustments.

The output path, format and a number of filters can be selected under three separate tabs. The formats to which you can convert a file include, but are not limited to, DVD, 3GP, WMV, MOV, AC3, MP3 or WMA. Under the formats tab, you can also select a video or audio encoder, an audio sample rate, video frame rate and more. The selection can be made with simple radio buttons.

After making your settings, you can click the OK button in the lower right corner of the window. The input file appears in the list, on the main interface, along with the settings you made. Finally, you can select it and click the Start button, above the list.
